Caring for your horse
I understand how important your horse is to you and offer the highest standard of professional equine care. I tailor a balanced routine that keeps each horse happy and healthy, both physically and mentally. There is often a tension between caring for a valuable competition animal whilst embracing their natural behaviours such as continuous foraging and companionship. We offer ad lib hay and extensive all year round grazing to support your horse's wellbeing.
Turnout in pairs or small groups is preferred to aid in beneficial socialisation. However, I can accommodate individual turnout if needed. We also make sure the exercise schedule is varied and includes hacking to avoid animals getting arena stale.
During the hottest summer months I suggest overnight turnout whereby the horses can get some respite from the overhead sun in the shade of their stables. In winter, I operate according to the weather but try to get horses out in the day.
I adhere to a modern and holistic approach considering how ALL aspects of your horse's care contribute to his/her overall ability to thrive. This type of management is aided by a local team of vets, farrier, dentist, physiotherapist and saddlers...all of whom communicate with each other and provide continuity for your horse.
Attention to detail and ensuring my clients’ wishes are carried out are the cornerstones of my business. I aim to give you complete peace of mind.
